Cold-Case Investigators Team Claim They Have Identified ‘Zodiac Killer’

A decade-old serial killer, infamously known as ‘Zodiac Killer’ linked with five brutal and several other cold-hearted murders between 1968 and 1969 in Northern California is claimed to have been identified.

An independent group of cold case investigators, The Case Breakers have claimed that they have identified the ‘Zodiac Killer who was responsible for serial murders in the San Fransico area during the late 1960s.

The case gained a lot of traction when the local police and newspapers received his letters in which he claimed to have murdered 37 people. The killer sent a series of cypher letters to the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper during his murder spree of shooting and stabbing people between 1968 and 1969. The letter contained cypher, which was claimed by the killer, when decoded would reveal his true identity.

Unfortunately out of the four letters, only two were decoded. Last year, a team of global-codebreakers decoded one of the letters. The cypher said, “I hope you are having lots of fun trying to catch me,”. “I am not afraid of the gas chamber because it will send me to paradise [sic] all the sooner because I now have enough slaves to work for me.

A highly experienced team of more than 40 former law enforcement, journalists, and intelligence officers headed by a retired FBI agent, Case Breakers have claimed to finally identify the man behind the serial killings. The group has worked on famous cases in the past like D.B. Cooper Hijakcking, former labor union head Jimmy Hoffa’s disappearance, and other mysterious cases.

They have identified a man named Gary Francis Poste as the ‘Zodiac Killer. They believe he died three years back in 2018. Apart from the murderer’s identity, the team has also linked six other murders that were not originally attributed to the killer. They have presented strong physical and forensic evidence supporting the case.

However, the FBI and local police authorities have dismissed the group’s claims labeling it as “circumstantial evidence”. In the past, authorities have received a lot of tips from people, most of which proved to be fake and bogus.

The mystery of Zodiac Killer and his series of murders has been the inspiration to a lot of books and movies. Two prominent ones which are very close to the facts of the case are 1971’s Dirty Harry and 2007’s Zodiac.
